Regardless of whether we’ve been victims of natural disaster, I think more of us are asking this question and appreciating the fleeting nature of all things material. I suspect we are entering times when we will be increasingly compelled to live in the present. Which might not be such a bad thing…
It's really true. I think on some level people resist living in the present because the present is too painful. Which is a little like thinking it's the doctor who makes you sick, and as long as you don't see the doctor, you aren't sick.
